Q: Cookie file is
A:a very small textual file placed on a hard disk by a website server. To put it simply, it is your ID document; you cannot use it to execute any software code or transfer viruses. It is your individual mark which can be read exclusively by a server that assigned it to you.
Q: The purpose of a cookie file is to
A:notify the server that you are visiting a given website again.
Q: Why is a cookie file useful to you?
A:It helps you save time.

If you personalize a website or register in order to receive products or services, a cookie file reminds Microsoft of who you are.

During your next visit, we will know which information you want to view. Moreover, during the registration of another product or service, it is enough to enter your e-mail address and password. Our job is to automatically fill in the missing information with answers that you have provided. Obviously, if you do not register or leave your personal data at Microsoft, the server will be only notified about the fact that a person with your cookie file returned to our website. It is you who decide whether we know anything about you. The more you tell us about yourself, the easier it will be for us to help you find information or products that you need.

Remember: you can always edit personal data entrusted to Microsoft using Profile Centre.

Q: Why Ekpols needs cookie files?

Q: If you want to control the acceptance of cookie files:
A:You can set your browser so that it accepts cookie files automatically or notifies each time when a cookie file is offered. It each such situation you decide whether you accept a cookie file or not.

If you use Internet Explorer 5.0:

Netscape combines all cookie files into one file placed on a hard drive. You must find this file, which is called Cookies.txt on computers with Windows system.

Q: How to display a code included in a cookie file:
A:Just click a cookie file in order to open it. You will see a sequence of characters – text and digits. These digits serve as your ID document visible only for the server, which provided you with a given cookie file.
